Ask Claude
The data server speaks MCP, so Claude Code (or another MCP client) can search your warehouse, check a shopping or parts list against it, and, if you allow it, add and edit items.
Connect Claude Code
- On the data server's Manage page, under Claude Code (MCP), add a token. Tick can edit to let Claude change things too; without it, Claude only reads.
- The token's page shows a command like this; run it where Claude Code runs:
claude mcp add -s user --transport http warehouse https://your-server/mcp/ --header "Authorization: Bearer <token>"
- Ask, e.g. "Do I have M3 screws, and where?", or "Which of these parts do I still need to order?" with a list.
What Claude can do
- Read: search items, read an item with its stocks, photos and links, list tags, locations and boxes, check a list for availability.
- With can edit: create and update items, add stock, move pieces between boxes, set statuses, adjust counts, delete and restore items, create and move boxes.
Edits made by Claude reach the phones with their next sync. Photo links in Claude's answers need the token too, so they don't open in a browser by themselves.
Revoke
Revoke the token on the Manage page, and claude mcp remove warehouse in Claude Code.
