Using Warehouse

Warehouse's apps and servers are free to use under the Apache License 2.0, as they are and without warranty. Keep your own backups: see Backup.

Your warehouse

Your items, photos and tokens stay on your phone, in your browser and on your data server. With a data server you run, warehouse-app.org doesn't receive them. With a Google AI key, the app sends the photos you fill in from to Google; see Getting started.

Free cloud servers

A free cloud server is a data server that warehouse-app.org runs for you, so it keeps your items, photos and tokens. They are used only to keep your warehouse and to sync it with what you connect.

To make and open one, you sign in with Google. The site then keeps your Google account's ID, your e-mail address and name, and when you signed up and last signed in, and of your server when it was made and last opened, and how many items and photo bytes it holds.

Removing the server, on the Free cloud server page, deletes its items, photos and tokens at once. Forget me on the same page then deletes your Google ID, e-mail address and name from the site.

It is free and without warranty, like the rest of Warehouse: the phones keep their own copy.

Usage statistics

The app, the Chrome plugin and the data server report about once a day to warehouse-app.org, so that the project knows what to support and build. This is on unless you turn it off.

Each report holds:

It never holds item names, descriptions, tags, photos, prices, tokens, keys or server addresses.

The site doesn't keep your IP address with a report. Its reports are kept until an install has been silent for 13 months. Only the project's Manage page shows them, summed up by product.
